The year 2022 started with a bang when many Bollywood celebrities got hitched by their long-term dating partners. The COVID- 19 pandemic not only put a halt to many theatrical releases but also the much-awaited weddings of many celebs. We got to witness some of the best fairytale weddings of our favourite couples who decided to take their relationship to the next level and turn a new page in their lives. Here are our favourite B-town couples who tied their nuptial knot this year.

1. Vikrant Massey and Sheetal Thakur 

The couple has been in a steady relationship since 2015. The lovebirds got engaged in 2019 and decided to settle down this year in April. The grand wedding happened in the presence of each other’s family members and close friends in Himachal Pradesh. Fans were eagerly waiting for Vikrant Massey to get hitched with Sheetal Thakur for a very long time. They tied their nuptial knot on 18th February 2022.

2. Mohit Raina & Aditi

The Uri actor took everyone's surprise on January 1, 2022, by sharing his wedding pictures with Aditi. The actor never used to be in the limelight and focused on his personal life. His wedding pictures in a private ceremony made everyone go aww! By sharing his big day pictures with fans, Mohit wrote on Instagram, “Love recognises no barriers, it jumps hurdles, leaps fences, penetrates walls to arrive at its destination, full of hope. With that hope and the blessings of our parents, we are no longer two but one. Need all your love and blessing in this new journey. Aditi & Mohit."

3. Mouni Roy and Suraj Nambiar 

Mouni Roy is one of the celebrities who came into the limelight through her performance in the Television show Naagin. Since then, she is one of the most beloved celebrities where the fans were always eager to know about her personal life. Mouni always stayed tight-lipped about her relationship. She finally admitted to getting married to her long-time boyfriend Suraj Nambiar in Goa after the paparazzi congratulated her ahead of the big day. The wedding was a close-knit event including the closest friends from the industry. They got married following both Bengali and South Indian traditions. The couple became one after several years of dating on 27th January 2022.

4. Farhan Akhtar & Shibani Dhandekar

Farhan Akhtar was earlier married to Adhuna Bhabani in 2000, and recently got married to his long-term girlfriend Shibani Dandekar on February 19. The couple got into a relationship after Farhan divorced his wife in 2017. The couple’s wedding was a low-key affair with the presence of family and close friends from the industry. The wedding was held at Javed Akhtar and Shabana Azmi’s Khandala farmhouse.

5. Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor

This was the much-awaited wedding by fans of the super talented actors of Bollywood in the modern age. Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt in 2018. Since then, fans have been waiting for their grand wedding. The wedding was a close-knit affair with the entire presence of the Kapoor family and Bhatt family. Many close friends and guests were invited to attend the fairy tale wedding. The couple got married on 14th April 2022 at Pali complex, Mumbai.
