read that right! Some underrated Bollywood actors got rejected for their
too-good looks.
In the
Bollywood Industry, aspiring actors are rejected for playing lead roles because
they didn’t have the perfect physique or “hero-like-face” to be the best fit.
This is one common reason we usually hear why some actors were rejected despite
being the best fit for the role.
However, it
is surprising to hear that some talented actors who are already blessed with
good height, body, and acting skills were also rejected for being too good to
be an actor.

1. Dia Mirza
Dia Mirza
feels that her looks have caused her to be at a great disadvantage in the film
industry. She is one of the actresses who made India proud by winning the Asia
Pacific International Pageant. The actress feels that it is a strange advantage
for missing out on movie roles because she is too good-looking because of her
skin color. The stereotypical and preconceived notions don’t feel good for the
actor and have been an added disadvantage for her acting career.
2. Kriti Sanon
The Mimi actress recently revealed in an interview that she was rejected for being too good-looking to play the part of a leading on-screen role. The actress said that she used to meet people during her struggling days who told her that something was not good about her as she is too good-looking. They said that there has to be some imperfection to get recognition as a lead actress. Due to this, the actor used to feel low. Now, Kriti Sanon is one of the most appreciated actresses in Bollywood.
3. Gauahar Khan
Gauahar Khan made her acting debut in Rocket Singh: Salesman of the Year (2009) film
alongside Ranbir Kapoor. The actress was also featured in the 2012 film
Ishaqzaade where she was well-received for her dance number Jhallah Wallah. The
actress revealed that she auditioned for the Oscar Winning Film, Slumdog
Millionaire for five rounds but the latter lost out on the film because she was
too good-looking.

4. Dino Morea
Best Known
for his role in the Bollywood film Raaz (2002), Dino Morea revealed that his
good looks worked against him in Bollywood. He said that his looks were used as
an excuse by the casting directors for not casting him in the films. He
revealed that he used to get feedback that he was too good looking for a given
role.
5. Karan Tacker
Karan Tacker is one of the most popular and beloved TV actors in the industry. He has been cast in several TV Shows and films. He is also seen hosting various Reality shows and one of the most popular TV shows he ever hosted was The Voice India- A singing reality show in 2015. The actor revealed that looking good was always a barrier as he was never told to correct something. He has been facing this challenge for a long time in the industry. He was also told that he is a fit guy so don’t be too fit.
