Delhi Katra Expressway
The
distance between Delhi and Katra has been lowered to 588 kilometers, and the
journey time has been cut by 5 hours. The National Highways Authority of India
(NHAI) has taken the initiative to build the Delhi-Amritsar-Katra corridor in
order to boost connectivity between the two sites.
According to sources, a 670-kilometer greenfield highway project will connect the Delhi-Bahadurgarh border with Katra through Nakodar and Gurdaspur in Punjab.

According to reports, pilgrims spend around 12 hours to travel from
Delhi to Katra; however, the distance between the locations would be shortened
by 40 kilometers through the proposed corridor, saving five hours of journey
time.
In addition, travelers would be able to reach Amritsar in less
than 5 hours from Delhi.
The Katra-Delhi Express Road will pass through several important
holy towns and cities. Aside from Vaishno Devi and Amritsar, other notable
cities along the road include Jalandhar, Kathua, Kapurthala, and Ludhiana.
From another info, the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board has advised pilgrims to book their details only on the official website or the shrine board's mobile application, following reports of people falling victim to fake websites while booking their journey to the Vaishno Devi temple in Jammu and Kashmir.
