India's first e-waste eco park is coming up! know the location
The Delhi
government has chosen to develop India's first e-waste eco-park in order to
encourage tourism. Manish Sisodia, Delhi's Deputy Chief Minister, made the
announcement on Thursday. He stated that Delhi will soon be home to the
"country's first" e-waste eco-park, which will deal with burgeoning
e-waste.
Sisodia
stated during a news conference, "The cabinet meeting resulted in two significant
decisions. The first choice is about the e-waste park. As the usage of
electronic newspapers grows, so does the amount of e-waste. Its management
system is still in the works. The Delhi government will establish the country's
first e-waste eco-park, where recycling and re-manufacturing will take
place."
He further
stated that the park will be built on 20 acres of land to handle Delhi's 2 lakh
tonnes of e-waste created each year.
Furthermore,
the government would implement the Delhi Film Policy 2022 for tourist
objectives. The minister went on to say, "We will introduce a Film Policy
2022 to improve the branding in Delhi and to connect our inhabitants via films.
A 50-crore film fund will be established to assist film makers. This would be
India's most progressive film policy, with the goal of creating employment and
stimulating the economy."
Addressing
the goal of the film policy, he also stated that the Delhi government has
already adopted the Delhi Film Policy 2022, which has four primary objectives:
1) Job
generation
2) Delhi
residents' affiliation with the policies
3) Promote
Delhi as a premier filming site.
4) And
converting the National Capital into a centre for local and international film
production.
The minister has also given a subsidy of up to INR 3 crore for Delhi-based films.
