5 Best Pieces of Advice for New Moms

To become a mother is the best feeling ever. It is one of those phases in a woman's life when she undergoes a complete transformation as a person. Motherhood is a period in a woman's life when she is reborn into a new one, enters a new phase in which she begins a new existence and provides adequate love and nurturing to her child.

Motherhood brings with it a whole new set of obligations and roles. To help new moms navigate through the early stages in the phase of motherhood with ease, we've developed a list of tips to help them overcome their fears and make each piece of advice highly useful and accessible.

While you may get good pieces of advice from your mother, mother-in-law, family members, or close friends, you would need advice for yourself. Not all advice is for everyone but we believe most of them would click with you where you can get inspired. Read on!

    1. Get your sound sleep whenever you can

Sleep when your baby sleeps is one piece of advice that everyone gives to new moms. This advice is given to the best of our ability, but it may not be suitable for everyone. You should sleep when your body tells you to, especially if you're exhausted or need to rest. It would be tough to time your sleep with the babies because babies sleep at odd times and for lengthy periods, which you cannot accomplish.

    2. Nurse Your Baby only when it demands

It is not required to nurse her baby very often in the belief that they will sleep for a longer period. This is not a good idea. You must nurse your baby when he or she demands. As a mother, you must use your instincts to determine if your baby is hungry, or thirsty and when to feed her or make her drink milk and water.

    3. Carry Your Newborn for as long as you want

You would have heard from your friends and relatives that holding or carrying your newborn can spoil them. This is the biggest myth and you must steer clear of this advice. Here is no such evidence that it is true.

Holding your newborn in your hand and lap for a longer period establishes a firm bond between you two. As the baby grows older, they will naturally need their independence but holding a newborn doesn’t affect it in the future. It is completely okay to ask someone else to care for your baby when you need rest.

    4.  Take Maximum Photos during this time

Now you are in the phase of Motherhood which is a new phase for you! However, you would have taken pictures with your hubby flaunting your baby bum during the time of pregnancy but now is the time where you should take maximum pictures with your baby and also the baby’s pics because Time flies and there will be no looking back.

You should create memories with your baby right now and snap them in pictures so that you remember this phase in the future and smile! Your baby will grow up in the blink of an eye so it is one of the best pieces of advice.

    5. Get back to your fitness routine

Every new mom needs a few months to relax, heal and adjust to her new responsibility. When your doctor advises you to exercise, begin light then slowly increase your pace and intensity. It helps you to stay fit, relaxes and calms your mind and makes you feel good about yourself. Start small with walking, stretching and Yoga to enjoy your fitness regime.

New Motherhood comes with its challenges and it is one of the beautiful phases of life. No matter what advice you might have got during your pregnancy or after childbirth, Trusting your instincts is very important. Most importantly, live each moment with joy and enjoy the phase with your adorable little one.
